The 花椒直播 Theatre production of 鈥淭he Moors鈥 has been held for consideration to perform at the regional Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF). Several 花椒直播 students also received regional KCACTF recognition for their roles in the production.
鈥淗eld for consideration鈥 means the production is being considered for invitation to the Region 6 conference, which will be held in Abilene, TX from February 23-27, 2005. Region 6 includes Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. One production from each region will be entered into the national competition in April.

鈥淭he Moors鈥 concluded its run in the Robert E. Nims Theater on the 花椒直播 campus in October. Jen Silverman鈥檚 play tells the story of Agatha and Huldey, two spinster sisters who live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power, alongside their much-maligned dog. The arrival of a hapless governess, Emilie, and an enchanting moorhen, set all three on a strange and dangerous path. Directed by Madison Smith, 鈥淭he Moors鈥 is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility, with songs.
is a national organization that exists to celebrate the educational and creative process of university and college theatre. KCACTF promotes professional standards and provides students and faculty with opportunities to bridge the academic and professional worlds.
